Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Since from the childhood, from the movies, we've been told that if we "wish upon a star" our wish will come true...

When was the first time I saw a shooting star? I remember, my freshman year in Cobleskill, Until now, I would never forget the smell of the wooden wood in the summer. Mrs. Hull's house, the fire camp, the bridge abutments, the basketball field.... That was my first shooting star in my life. And of course, my wishes came true couple week later when I wish upon the star.

Sometime in 2008, I wish upon the star during a cold freeze night in Japan House; with someone special. And again, my wish came true. I remember those nights with him, we would stay up late and i don't know why, but we developed a habit of observing how beautiful the night sky was. And so, we started seeing shooting stars and sometimes, we would see a burning red tail shooting star. They were really beautiful.

But just seeing one is really magnificent. And oh, my wishes does come true! i wished to see one more shooting star so that I'd have one more wish.:) It's really childlike but there's really no harm in believing, right?:)

So next time, make a wish ~ God know what will come true ;)

Goodbye Winter

Goodbye:
- heavy winter jacket
- layers of clothes when I’m sleeping
- ultra creamy hand lotion
- puddles on the street
- short day long night
- the "stuck in the house" phenomenon
- the threat of flu
- the nasty subway wait
- grey sky mornings with cups of grey black tea
- the naked tree branches

Happy St. Patricks Day 2009

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated by the Irish/Non Irish in big cities and small towns alike with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games etc... I remember the St.Patrick's parade that I went to, it was awesome :) "Lots of food :P". So, for you, stop by the St. Patrick's day parade near you and be bless by the Irish luck :) and opps, don't forget the Irish beer.
"May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you." - Irish Blessing

Another Grainy Day

Today was gray and rainy, and the temperature has dropped down from 60F to 40F. When I left the house in the morning, the rain was on and off. Here, I am, along with my camera, decided to take some quick shots in the subway on my way to work. Another Monday, another day. Wish you have a sunshine week.

A Half Day Break

Today, I walked down the street, feeling lonely. Really complicated feelings. I decided to take pictures, only photography can express my feeling at the moment. Even though it's just a blue sky, but what does this picture makes you think of?

la vie est belle, droit ? (Life Is Beautiful)

You never enjoy the world, aright, till the Sea itself floweth in your veins, till you are clothed with the heavens, and crowned with the stars; and perceive yourself to be the sole heir of the whole world, and more than so, because men are in it who are every one sole heirs as well as you. Till you can sing and rejoice and delight in God, as misers do in gold, and Kings in scepters, you never enjoy the world...
Yet further, you never enjoy the world aright; till you so love the beauty of enjoying it, that you are covetous and earnest to persuade others to enjoy it.

--Thomas Traherne

Life is beautiful when you spent your life enjoying the love, beautiful weather, awesome wildlife, spectacular ecosystems, beaches, flowers ...
This is what the environmentalists call "Nature" and it is worthy of protection from humankind's destruction.

Spring Will Come?

Gazing out the window to a 7 inches of snow in March. Are you thinking what I’m thinking?Don't get me wrong, I love winter, I love the cold, love the coat. But its been a long, cold winter and I definitely would love to get some sunshine ;) Don't you agree with me? (wink wink). Spring time is always beautiful and finally it’s coming. Flowers are beginning to bloom, squirrels and rabbits are coming out of their nests, the weather’s getting warmer, and people are beginning to do outdoor activities more often. From my room window that overlooks the street I can see people jogging, walking their dogs, or just chatting on the cell. They seem to enjoy the sunshine and the nice weather everyday. Well, me too. I love the weather at this time of the year and the autumn season. (I hate summer, can't stand the freaking heat)
I know Spring will come and its almost here.

Kudos to Elena

And now for something different. I had sent my friend Elena from Clow Angel's Den some pretty cool pictures in an e-mail a few hours ago. And while she flipped through the images, she edit them. In fact, they’d make some pretty darn cool wallpapers. Less than four hour, here she come, some pretty cool stuff right? Kudos to her :P
